the LOCKHOUSE bar and restaurant is a local independent business with an enviable setting on the Portishead Marina. Its individuality allows for a listed holding bar area (formally a Lockkeepers Cottage), superb glass structure restaurant and terrace. Opened in summer 2008, the place has a great ambience created by the front of house team, in keeping décor and overall high standard finish.

Our contemporary seasonal British based menus proudly use the best local and West Country produce. the LOCKHOUSE bar and restaurant fresh menus typically offers a selection of vegetarian, fish and meat dishes, these are complete by our prepared desserts. Our kitchen team have worked for the industry best, this is reflected in the overall dining experience.

the LOCKHOUSE bar and restaurant is a fantastic place in a sought-after location with outstanding views of the Welsh coastline and Portbury Docks. Enjoy your weekend breakfast, lunch, al fresco dining, special occasion, dinner party or favourite tipple, and relax watching the passing boats go through the adjacent lock gates. Note, our bar, restaurant and terrace are also open throughout the day for drinks, cream tea/coffee and cakes.
